Thirty delegates from the Heather Trust AGM were taken up onto Goathland Moor by George Winn-Darley, Chairman of the Moorland Association. On a cold, windy day overlooking the North Sea, we were shown ponds which have been dug into the moor to provide water for birds (and firefighters), grouse butts and a range of archaeological sites which characterise this area of the country.
